Alex Murzyn is a superb tenor player, and equally at home with the soprano sax, flute and bass clarinet. His thirty-plus year career as an in-demand sideman on the San Francisco jazz demanded no less of his talents. Over his career he has performed with many of the greats, in multiple music genres– from jazz to Latin to rock, soul and blues. Here's a partial list… Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Bobby Hutcherson, Delfayo Marsalis, Arturo Sandoval, The Temptations, Tito Puente, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Clark, Ray Obiedo, Stan Kenton Legacy Band… and more!

Alex will appear at the Brewery with one of our favorite New Mexico Jazz Heroes, drummer Pete Amahl. Pete and Alex have also been playing regularly at El Meson, one of Santa Fe's great listening rooms. Having loved New Mexico for many years, Alex is grateful to now be living, teaching and making music in Santa Fe.
