Our first "outing" since live music performances were able to begin again– the Doug Lawrence Septet treated us to a "Drive-in" concert at Taos Center for the Arts in celebration of International Jazz Day.
Performed and filmed during the shutdown– exclusively for the 2020 Frank Morgan Taos Jazz Fest. Featuring Grace Kelly and a very special guest appearance by the famed pianist, George Cables.
This is Doug Lawrence in his favorite setting– atop a quartet grooving with Hammond Organ and guitar. This was recorded in tokyo, not Taos– but it's too good not to include here!
